» Competence Network Universal Design
Within the scope of the initiative "Seniority, an economic factor" of the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth, the International Design Centre in Berlin is nowadays working on a competence network with the aim to join information, competences and knowledge concerning the subject Universal Design.

The Competence Network addresses research facilities, enterprises, associations, as well as consumers of services and products. Interested groups of people get the opportunity to get information about Universal Design and to act on suggestions. The competence network wants to promote knowledge and to boost the exchange of experience and knowledge.

With this objective target the International Design Centre Berlin combines following key aspects: Development of data base and consulting structure as well as the conception of a touring exhibition with an accompanying publication, with the help of which the subject is to be introduced to a wide public.
