UX Design Awards 2022: Open for Registrations
Global Competition for Excellent Experiences

Companies, agencies, professionals, and young designers worldwide are invited to register for the next UX Design Awards call for entries starting 1 March 2022.

The UX Design Awards are a global competition for excellent experiences. Entrants can compete in three categories. Two are geared to the professional sector: “Product” for market-ready or new products, services, and experiential environments, and “Concept” for prototypes, service concepts, conceptual environments, advanced design studies, and research projects.

The third category, “New Talent,” is aimed at up-and-coming designers: students and graduates can enter their bachelor and master projects.

German Ecodesign Award 2021| Award Ceremony
On December 6, Dr. Ulf Jaeckel, head of the department "Sustainable Consumption, Product-Related Environmental Protection" at the Federal Ministry for the Environment, and the president of the German Environment Agency, Dr. Dirk Messner, honored the winners of the German Ecodesign Award 2021.

Details

This year, 25 entries had the chance to win the German Ecodesign Award. Ten projects convinced the jury and can be proud of the highest state award for ecological design. Among them are novelties from the clothing industry, imaginative body care products and innovations from the building industry. Details of the winning submissions can be found in the online gallery on the website of the German Ecodesign Award.

CleanMyMac X - winner of the Product category at the 2021 UX Design Awards

In his presentation Oleksandr Pronskyi, Lead Designer at MacPaw Inc., walks us through the project “CleanMyMac X", award winner in the Product category in the 2021 UX Design Awards.

“CleanMyMac X” is a macOS application designed to help users keep their Macs in order. With smart and easy-to-use tools, the app transforms the tedious task of maintaining computers into a pleasant experience. “CleanMyMac X” allows users to free up gigabytes of space, speed up their computer, and protect it from malware in just two clicks. Interactive hover effects, animations, and atmospheric sounds support the experience of optimizing a Mac.
