Our member of the month for June 2022 is Alexander Wodrich. He is the founder and CEO of why do birds, a multi-award winning audio branding, motion design and service design agency based in Berlin-Kreuzberg. "MusiCurve", an easy-to-use software tool that allows users to change the intensity of a piece of music and adapt it to the dramaturgy of a film, was awarded the UX Design Award | Product 2022. We presented the project in detail in our UX Design Awards Deep Dive on June 15, 2022. Since May 2022, Berliner Verkehrsbetriebe (BVG) has been using a brand sound developed by why do birds.

After studying business administration, Alexander Wodrich began his professional career at the Wunderman agency. He then worked as a brand consultant at MetaDesign for clients including Audi, DHL, eBay, Allianz and Lufthansa. Since 2007, he has headed the Sound Branding division there as a member of the management team. He is a lecturer and regularly appears as a speaker at congresses on the subject of brands and sound.
